Mission
To efficiently and effectively maintain the Town’s roadways and other infrastructure. To provide technical and engineering support. To build and maintain a public sewer infrastructure, manage the collection and disposal of solid waste, and implement and improve environmental managerial practices
Major Services/Responsibilities:
Timely snow and ice removal for Town roads, Town and School facilities, repair of all roads, catch basins, drainage pipes and swales, perform ground maintenance along the Town’s right of ways,
Repair and replace regulatory street signage, Maintain and repair heavy equipment, Public Works Department
vehicles and Highway Department facilities, House the Public Works plans and records, Issue / review permits for excavation and driveways, Review projects for thePlanning Board, Inspect roadway projects, subdivision and site improvements for compliance with Town standards, Continue use of the roadway Maintenance and Improvement Plan, and to assist in design and preparation of costs estimates for Town projects
