The Solid Waste Advisory Committee consists of ordinary citizens like you who want to make a difference in their community. At
over $2 million, solid waste is the 4th largest line item in the Town budget. The Committee assists the Environmental Services
Division of the Public Works Department in managing Londonderry's solid waste. By implementing some user friendly programs over
the years since our formation in 1988, we have helped residents minimize their waste, reduce their tax burden, and protect and
beautify their local environment. We also organize Beautify Londonderry, the annual spring clean up event.
Any
interested residents are welcome to attend our meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month at
7:00 p.m. in the Sunnycrest
Conference Room at the Town Offices. We're always looking for more people to get involved! The Committee consists of 5
full-time and 2 alternate members who are appointed by the Town Council for staggered 3-year terms.
