Marriage License Notice
If you are planning to get married in New Hampshire, you may apply for a Marriage License at any Town or City Clerk's Office.
Both parties must be 18 years of age or older. If either party is a NH resident and under 18, a waiver may be granted by the probate court in the county where you live. Both parties MUST provide a Driver's License and a Birth Certificate.
If either party was married before, a certified copy of how the marriage ended is needed. These would include a death certificate, divorce decree or annulment certificate with a raised seal.
The Fee for obtaining a marriage license is $50.00
After you are married, you may obtain a certified copy of your marriage certificate. The fee is $15.00 for the first copy and $10.00 for each additional copy if you order them at the same time.
The process of obtaining a Marriage license can take 30-45 minutes. We encourage all those who are looking to get a license to make an appointment with our Town Clerk, Sherry Farrell, at telephone number 603-432-1100 x195 or by email at email@example.com. Walk-ins are welcomed before 4pm during normal office hours as well.
Our Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
BIRTH, DEATH, MARRIAGE, CIVIL UNION & DIVORCE CERTIFICATES
The Town Clerk’s office issues State of New Hampshire vital records – birth, death, marriage, civil union & divorce certificates – to qualified individuals and agencies that provide a ‘direct and tangible’ interest in the record. Please call the office @ 603/432-1100 ext. 195 if you have questions about your access rights.
A $15.00 fee is charged for a record search, whether or not a certified copy can be processed. The fee for each additional copy of the same record is $10.00. The fee(s) may be paid by cash, check or credit card. If a credit card is tendered, 2.79% will be added to the cost ($1.50 minimum).
Persons requesting vital records in person must complete and sign an application form and provide picture identification. Vital records requested in writing by mail must include payment; a self-addressed, stamped envelope; and a copy of the requestor’s driver’s license. Send requests, including payment, to Town of Londonderry, Town Clerk’s Office, 268B Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH 03053. In addition, vital records may be requested via the Town of Londonderry website. Please visit the website and follow the on-screen directions.
The Town Clerk’s office can access all Town of Londonderry vital records, as well as many records originating in other cities and towns in New Hampshire because of access to the State of New Hampshire database. However, many older records may not be in the State database, and applicants may be directed to the city or town where the record originated, or to the State of NH Division of Vital Records.
