Heritage/Historic District Commission
Mission
Welcome to the Official Web Site for the Heritage/Historic District Commission. The Commission works under the provisions of State Law (RSA 673:4 & 673:4-a) and the Londonderry Municipal Code. It is comprised of seven members and up to five alternate members. All members are appointed to staggered terms of three years.
The Heritage Commission meets bi-monthly, the fourth Thursday of each month, at 7:00 PM in the Moose Hill Conference Room of the Town Offices, 268B Mammoth Road.
The purpose of the Commission is to oversee the preservation of historical and cultural resources for the Town, to educate the public on matters of historical interest and to work with other Boards, committees and commissions to assure responsible development that reflects the Town's Master Plan.
The Commission is also a Historic District Commission, with responsibilities as enumerated by state statute and the Historic District section of the Town's Zoning Ordinance.
